Service Awards

PG&E's success is based on the engagement and retention of talented PG&E employees. The Service Award Program recognizes and celebrates employee service milestones every five years and at retirement. Full- or part-time employees with at least five years of service are eligible to participate. If an employee leaves PG&E and returns at a later date, the most recent hire date is used to determine eligibility for service awards.

Employees that are eligible for a service award and have a company email address will receive an email congratulating them on their service milestone and instructions to select a gift. Between April and October.

Service awards are an opportunity for you to publicly recognize your employee's efforts in helping PG&E provide safe, affordable and reliable service every day. As a supervisor, you will receive a personalized service anniversary award certificate for your employee. Please recognize and thank your employee for their service and present the certificate to him or her.

Supervisors and delegates can quickly and easily review their employees’ annual service anniversaries at any time. To review information about your active, on leave and workers’ compensation employees, go to PG&E@Work For Me > My Staff > My Staff Reports. If your employee is eligible for a service award, but you didn’t receive a certificate or need to order a replacement, please contact BI Worldwide at the contact information below.

As a service award recipient's supervisor, you are responsible for the following activities:

  • Presentation of service award certificates. This includes ensuring that certificates are signed by the supervisor and are presented to recipients.
  • Determining a date, time and place for the presentation.
  • Inviting the award recipients to the presentation.
  • Forwarding misdirected certificates to the employee's new department or returning to Monica Morales, P.O. Box 5546, Concord, CA 94524.
